PopsyKosy uses only 100% pure EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer) closed-cell foam — fully traceable from raw material to finished product. No XPE, no IXPE, no recycled polyethylene. Most competing brands use recycled PE with less than 5% actual EVA content while labeling products as "EVA mat."

Most play-mat films measure just 0.02 mm — thinner than a sheet of tracing paper. Ours is engineered at 0.1 mm: five times thicker, pure EVA film (ethylene-vinyl acetate), a food-contact-grade material chosen for one reason — it has no plasticisers to give up.

  • Virtually zero peeling. Thicker film means the ink layer is locked inside, not printed on top — chewing, scrubbing, and daily wipe-downs don't lift it.
  • Extra safety margin for curious mouths. A child can bite the corner of a competitor's mat through the film in seconds; our EVA layer resists puncture and delays exposure to the core.
  • Non-toxic chemistry by design. Pure EVA film contains no chlorine, no BPA, no phthalates — confirmed by OEKO-TEX® testing at N.D. across all 1,000+ substances.
  • Ink sealed below a transparent topcoat. Abrasion-rated for three-plus years of toddler traffic without fading, yellowing, or pattern distortion.
Why it matters

Everything a child touches first, touches the film. A 0.08 mm difference is invisible to the eye — and the line between a mat you trust and a mat you replace every six months.

  • Thermal fusion, not chemical adhesive. Film and core are bonded under precise heat and pressure — a single continuous material system with no glue line for chemicals to hide inside.
  • Fire safety through material engineering — not toxic additives. No chemical flame retardants, no halogenated compounds, no post-treatment sprays. The foam chemistry carries the specification.
  • Zero odour, from day one. The OEKO-TEX® odour test — a trained human panel — is one of the most stringent in the industry. Ours passed. Unbox it, and it's ready for a baby.
  • No fillers. No recycled PE. No < 5% EVA sleight-of-hand. A single-material core means there is nothing to separate, delaminate, or off-gas in year two.
Why it matters
